We investigate the relative assembly map from the family of finite subgroups to the family of virtually cyclic subgroups for the algebraic -theory of twisted group rings of a group with coefficients in a regular ring or, more generally, with coefficients in a regular additive category. They are known to be isomorphisms rationally. We show that it suffices to invert only those primes for which contains a non-trivial finite -group and is not invertible in .

The application of mind mapping in the standardized education of inpatient physicians in nephrology.

Sci Rep

January 2025

Department of Nephrology, Affiliated Hospital and Clinical Medical College of Chengdu University, No. 82, North Section 2, Second Ring Road, Chengdu, Sichuan, 610081, People's Republic of China.

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of mind mapping in the standardized training and education of internal medicine resident physicians in nephrology. Sixty trainees undergoing rotations in the Nephrology Department at Chengdu University Affiliated Hospital between January 2021 and December 2023 were randomly assigned to control and observation groups, each comprising 30 trainees. The observation group received mind mapping teaching, while the control group received traditional teaching methods.

The intramolecular migration of three hydrogen atoms from one moiety of a gaseous radical cation to the other prior to fragmentation is an extremely rare type of redox reaction. Within the scope of this investigation, this scenario requires an ionized but electron-rich arene acceptor bearing a para-(3-hydroxyalkyl) residue. The precise mechanism of such unidirectional 3H transfer processes, including the order of the individual H transfer steps, has remained unclear in spite of previous isotope labelling and recent infrared ion spectroscopy (IRIS) studies.

Revealing the removal behavior of polystyrene nanoplastics and natural organic matter by AlTi-based coagulant from the perspective of functional groups.

J Hazard Mater

January 2025

Shandong Key Laboratory of Water Pollution Control and Resource Reuse, School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Shandong University, Qingdao 266000, PR China. Electronic address:

The interactions of nanoplastics (NPs) with natural organic matter (NOM) are influenced by their surface functional groups. In this study, the effects of representative functional groups on the interactions among polystyrene nanoplastics (PS-COOH and PS-NH), hydrophilic low molecular weight (LMW) substances (salicylic acid (SA), phthalic acid (PA), and gluconic acid (GA)), and a novel AlTi-based coagulant were investigated. We found that PS-NH (83.

Monocyclic π-aromatic compounds are ubiquitous throughout almost all fields of natural sciences-as synthons in industrial processes, as ligands of metal complexes for catalysis or sensing and as bioactive molecules. Planar organocycles stand out through their specific way of overcoming electron deficiency by a non-localizable set of (4n + 2)π electrons. By contrast, all-metal aromatic monocycles are still rare, as metal atoms prefer to form clusters with multiply bonded atoms instead.
