Objective: While previous studies have explored the relationship between obesity and levels of thyroid autoantibodies, research using novel indicators such as weight-adjusted waist index (WWI) remains limited. This study aimed to evaluate the potential relationship between WWI and thyroid autoantibody levels, with the objective of improving our understanding of the links between central obesity and Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT).
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) cycles from 2007 to 2012.

Background: Life's Essential 8 (LE8) score, developed by the American Heart Association, assesses cardiovascular health using eight components: diet, physical activity, nicotine exposure, sleep health, body mass index, lipids, blood glucose, and blood pressure. Liver function is a critical indicator of overall health, with impairments linked to numerous chronic diseases. While the LE8 score has been extensively studied in relation to cardiovascular outcomes, its association with liver function remains underexplored.

Acute presentation of cystic craniopharyngioma is a potentially life-threatening condition, characterized by disability and increased mortality risk, often caused by large cysts with or without hydrocephalus. This study evaluated the applicability of minimally invasive neuroendoscopic surgery (NES) for rapid intracranial pressure relief and tumor control as an alternative to emergent microsurgical resection. A retrospective review of the electronic medical record database of patients with craniopharyngiomas treated at our institution between June 2007 and October 2024 identified 13 non-consecutive cases of acute presentation of cystic craniopharyngioma managed with NES.

Accurately segmenting remote sensing images remains challenging due to the diverse target scales and ambiguous structural boundaries. In this work, we propose a semi-supervised boundary segmentation network (BS-GAN) to address these challenges. BS-GAN employs a semi-supervised learning approach to reduce dependency on labeled data while introducing a novel mixed attention (MA) mechanism to enhance segmentation accuracy by aggregating long-range contextual information.
