Human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs) are emerging as critical elements in host genomic regulation. Aberrant HERV transcription has been implicated in developmental and tissue-specific aging and pathological processes. In this study, we presented a comprehensive locus-specific characterization of the HERV expression landscape in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).

Objective: This study aimed to describe the clinical, biochemical, therapeutic, and progressive characteristics of children with familial type 1 diabetes (T1D) compared to those with non-familial T1D. Compare within the first group, the phenotype of type 1 diabetics inherited from the father with those inherited from the mother.
Patients And Methods: We conducted a retrospective study lasting 10 years at the L'hôpital Femme Mère Enfant (Woman-Mother-Child Hospital) in Lyon, France.

Introduction: Pulmonary pneumocystis causes interstitial lung disease, particularly in patients with solid cancers. The aim of this study is to clarify its incidence, which remains poorly understood, and to identify patients at risk and prognostic factors.
Methods: Data on patients with solid tumors and pulmonary pneumocystis were retrospectively collected from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2019 in two hospitals in Rennes.

Over the past decade, our understanding of the diversity of colorectal cancer has expanded significantly, raising hopes of tailoring treatments more precisely for individual patients. A key achievement in this direction was the establishment of the consensus molecular classification, particularly identifying the challenging consensus molecular subtype (CMS) CMS4 associated with poor prognosis. Because of its aggressive nature, extensive research is dedicated to the CMS4 subgroup.

Introduction: Multisystemic inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) is a therapeutic emergency and can lead to myocardial dysfunction (17%-75%) and heart failure (52%-53%). Intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIG) and corticosteroids (CST) have been validated for the management of this condition. Recent reports suggest that an interleukin-1 (IL-1) receptor antagonist, namely anakinra, may be a valuable add-on to the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) treatment for refractory patients.
