Apatite is widely used as an indicator mineral to reflect the characteristics and petrogenesis of host magma. In this study, we present apatite geochemical and in-situ Sr-Nd isotopic data of monzogranite, granodiorite and dioritic enclave in the eastern Songnen-Zhangguangcai Range Massif, aiming to fingerprinting their petrogenesis and magmatic evolution processes. Based on apatite textures and geochemistry characteristics, the apatites were categorized into two distinct groups.

The Laurani high-sulfidation epithermal deposit, located in the northeastern Altiplano of Bolivia, is a representative gold-polymetallic deposit linked to the late Miocene volcanic rocks that were formed approximately at about 7.5 Ma. At Laurani, four mineralization stages are defined.

The end-Triassic extinction (ETE) on land was synchronous with the initial lavas of the Central Atlantic Magmatic Province (CAMP) and occurred just after the brief 26 thousand year (kyr) reverse geomagnetic polarity Chron E23r that can be used for global correlation. Lava-by-lava paleomagnetic secular variation data, previously reported from Morocco and northeastern United States combined with our data for the North Mountain Basalt from the Fundy Basin of Canada show that the initial phase of CAMP volcanism occurred in only five directional groups or pulses each occupying less than a century. The first four directional groups occur during a ~40 kyr period based on available astrochronology and U-Pb geochronology.

Multistage plate subduction plays a crucial role in magmatism; however, the mechanisms by which deep geodynamic processes govern volcanism in the Alaska subduction zone remain controversial. Using numerous travel-time data from several seismic arrays, we constructed high-resolution tomographic models to investigate the velocity structure of the Pacific Plate and Yakutat slab. Our tomographic results revealed high-velocity anomalies in the Pacific Plate and Yakutat slab, while the low-velocity areas within the Pacific Plate were identified as slab tears.

Typical geothermal systems in the Da Qaidam (DQ) and Gonghe-Guide Basin (GGB) on the northeastern Tibetan Plateau (NETP) discharged different BLi contents. A widely accepted metallogenic model is that the salt-lake type BLi deposits in the TP are recharged by geothermal fluids with B-Li-rich, carried by rivers and enriched in the terminal salt lakes. The B-Li-rich geothermal water is the key source of mineralization in salt lakes, however, enrichment mechanism governing differential BLi contents in DQ and GGB geothermal systems remains ambiguous.
