Owing to global climate change or the ever-more frequent human activities in the offshore areas, it is highly probable that an imbalance in the offshore ecosystem has been induced. However, the importance of maintaining and protecting marine ecosystems' balance cannot be overstated. In recent years, various marine disasters have occurred frequently, such as harmful algal blooms (green tides and red tides), storm surge disasters, wave disasters, sea ice disasters, and tsunami disasters.

Deterioration in motor control is a hallmark of aging, significantly contributing to a decline in quality of life. More controversial is the question of whether and how aging impacts sensorimotor learning. We hypothesized that the inconsistent picture observed in the current literature can be attributed to at least two factors.

Flue gas desulfurization gypsum (FGDG), a solid waste produced during sulfur removal in coal-fired power plants, has applications in saline-alkali soil amelioration due to its function of calcium‑sodium ion exchange. Existing research has focused on the use of gypsum to improve saline-alkali soils in non-coastal areas. However, coastal areas are not only extensively salinized, but an important source of methane, and surprisingly, FGDG may assist to decrease methane formation mainly by the action of sulfate radical.

This paper describes the design and optimization of a smart algorithm based on artificial intelligence to increase the accuracy of an ocean water current meter. The main purpose of water current meters is to obtain the fundamental frequency of the ocean waves and currents. The limiting factor in those underwater applications is power consumption and that is the reason to use only ultra-low power microcontrollers.
