The guest star of A.D. 185 is possibly the earliest recorded supernova, and the radio source RCW 86 is believed to be its remnant. However, a restudy of ancient Chinese literature suggests that RCW 86 is unrelated to the guest star, which probably had a visible duration of only 7 months and appeared between beta and delta Centauri, instead of the previously proposed 20-mtonth duration and a location between alpha and ,beta Centauri.

Integrating robots and artificial intelligence (AI) into workplaces is becoming increasingly prevalent across various sectors, including hospitality. This trend has raised concerns regarding employee anxiety and the potential for higher turnover intentions, particularly when AI technologies are perceived to undermine professional expertise. This study explores the relationship between awareness of robotics and AI and employee turnover intentions, framed within the Conservation of Resources Theory (COR).

Allogeneic haematopoietic stem-cell transplantation for children with refractory systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis and associated lung disease: outcomes from an international, retrospective cohort study.

Lancet Rheumatol

December 2024

Division of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Immune Deficiency, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH, USA; Department of Pediatrics, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati, OH, USA; Pharming Healthcare, Warren, NJ, USA. Electronic address:

Background: Systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis-related lung disease (sJIA-LD) is a severe complication in patients with treatment-refractory systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA). The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of allogeneic haematopoietic stem-cell transplantation (HSCT) in a cohort of children with sJIA-LD.

Methods: This international, retrospective cohort study was performed in nine hospitals across the USA and Europe in children with sJIA-LD who had received allogeneic HSCT.

Background: Patients with a history of coronary revascularization are at a higher risk for subsequent cardiovascular events and all-cause mortality. Lowering LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C) levels post-revascularization significantly reduces these risks.

Methods: This analysis compared LDL-C-lowering therapies at baseline and over time among patients with and without prior coronary revascularization in the GOULD registry (a prospective multicenter cohort study).

Crown ether inclusion compound 3,4-difluoroanilinium di(methanesulfonyl)amidate-18-crown-6 (1/1) clathrate.

Acta Crystallogr C Struct Chem

January 2025

Ordered Matter Science Research Center, Nanchang University, Nanchang 330031, People's Republic of China.

In recent years, molecular-based ferroelectric materials have attracted widespread research interest due to their excellent performance. Among them, host-guest-type crown ether inclusion compounds composed of organic ammonium cations, crown ether molecules and corresponding anions have become a star component in the design of molecular-based ferroelectric materials because they are prone to order-disorder phase transitions. Many anions have been studied extensively as counter-ions, such as bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)amidate (TFSA), PF and [FeCl].

Self-Similar Ligand for 2D Zr(IV)-Based Metal-Organic Frameworks: Fluorescent Sensing and Catalysis.

Inorg Chem

December 2024

Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), Agency of Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), 2 Fusionopolis Way, Singapore 138634, Republic of Singapore.

Two-dimensional (2D) metal-organic framework sheets, in comparison to the 3D analogues, offer potential advantages for intercalation of guest components between the layers, exfoliation/dispersion into solutions, and processing into thin films. As a versatile platform for leveraging organic functions, the 2D Zr(IV)-carboxylate net here features a dendritic Sierpinski tritopic linker with conjugated alkyne branches and a photoactive triphenylamine core. The 2D solid can be easily dispersed in water and many other solvents, resulting in stable and fluorescent suspension for sensing nitro aromatic compounds and Fe ions with high quenching efficiencies and ultralow limits of detection.
