Background: This pilot study addresses unmet needs for empirical evidence on real-world data (RWD) on sleep to inform pharmacological management in older adults at-risk for neurodegenerative conditions. Polypharmacy is prevalent among older adults, with potential adverse effects on physiological functions, including sleep. Sleep disturbances are prevalent in aging, may signal onset of Alzheimer's disease (AD), potentially contributing to the underlying pathology.

This study aimed to 1) describe the prevalence of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) in relation to the type of substance used (alcohol or cannabis) among adults seeking treatment for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in Greenland, and 2) examine whether an association exists between ACE and the type of substance used (alcohol and/or cannabis). The analysis was conducted using register data from individuals receiving SUD treatment in Greenland between 1 June 2020 to 31 December 2022 ( = 1037). The results showed a higher prevalence and a greater variety of ACE among women compared to men.

Background: The PASCAL P10 system for mitral valve transcatheter edge-to-edge repair has undergone iterations, including introduction of the narrower Ace implant and the Precision delivery system.
Objectives: The study sought to evaluate outcomes and the impact of PASCAL mitral valve transcatheter edge-to-edge repair device iterations.
Methods: The REPAIR (REgistry of PAscal for mltral Regurgitation) study is an investigator-initiated, multicenter registry including consecutive patients with mitral regurgitation (MR) treated from 2019 to 2024.

The purpose of this study was to understand the effects of cooking treatment on the protein hydrolysis of beef tripe and the release of potentially bioactive peptides using an in vitro gastrointestinal model. The results showed that digestion promoted the hydrolysis of proteins and release of free amino acids in beef tripe, but cooking treatment significantly reduced them. The sample of the cooked beef tripe after gastrointestinal digestion had the highest antioxidant activity.

This research investigates the impact of microwave power, processing time, and solid-to-solvent ratio on protein recovery from foxtail millet (Setaria italica), using an artificial neural network (ANN) and genetic algorithm (GA). The extracted protein and subsequent hydrolysates were also evaluated for their techno-functional, structural, and digestibility properties. The ANN model, trained with the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm and optimized by a GA, identified optimal extraction conditions (960 W, 66.
