Behind the retro auricular groove, hidden by the pinna, on the surface of the mastoid, there is, a bony outgrowth, known by any otorhinolaryngologist worthy of the name, located above and behind the entrance to the external auditory canal in front of the supra meatic fossa: Henle's spine. In this historical note the authors retrace the moment of the dicovery of this primordial relief of otological surgery and the life of its discoverer, the German anatomis Jakob Henle, a true malesrtom which mixes science, art politics, and love.

For severe degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis (DLSS), the conventional percutaneous endoscopic translaminar decompression (PEID) has some limitations. The modified PEID, Cross-Overtop decompression, ensures sufficient decompression without excessive damage to the facet joints and posterior complex integrity. To evaluate the biomechanical properties of Cross-Overtop and provide practical case validation for final decision-making in severe DLSS treatment.

Background: Endoscopic decompression of the spinal canal is an emerging procedure for the treatment of degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis, but there are few reports of comparative studies of endoscopic techniques for transforaminal and non-transforaminal approaches.
Objective: To compare the clinical application of percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic decompression (PTED) and full endoscopic lamina fenestration decompression (Endo-LOVE) for treating degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis with unilateral radicular pain.
Methods: A total of 58 patients with degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis (DLSS) with unilateral radicular pain in the lower extremities who underwent endoscopic decompression treatment from June 2020 to December 2021 were retrospectively identified and divided into two groups (PTED vs Endo-LOVE).

Objectives: This study aimed to describe the effects of two single-file systems on the diversity of the endodontic microbiome of teeth with primary asymptomatic apical periodontitis.
Materials And Methods: The root canals from single-rooted teeth with apical periodontitis were prepared using either the Reciproc Blue (RB) or the XP-endo Shaper (XPS) instrument system. The latter was followed by a supplementary step with the XP-endo Finisher (XPF) instrument.
