The complex healthcare system in the United States (US) poses significant challenges for people, particularly minorities such as refugees. Refugees often encounter additional layers of challenges to healthcare navigation due to unfamiliarity with the system, limited health literacy, and language barriers. Despite their challenges, it is difficult to identify the gaps as few tools exist to measure navigation competency among this population and many conventional tools assume English proficiency, making them inadequate for refugees and other immigrants.

The purpose of this study was to investigate nurses' attitudes towards prevention of falls using the Nurses Attitudes Towards Prevention of Falls Scale and to identify factors affecting these attitudes. This special section underscores the importance of psychologists in improving and enhancing care for individuals with serious mental illnesses (SMIs). People with diagnoses typically included in the category of SMIs-schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and other diagnoses with symptoms severely impacting functioning-typically have layered marginalities and experience significant social stigma in addition to mental health symptoms. The complexity of challenges commonly experienced by individuals with SMI requires that treatment providers have specialized knowledge, training, and skills to provide specialty care needed to support mental health recovery.

Background: Teenage childbirth is an issue of social and public health concern in Ghana, with high prevalence in some regions, including the Central Region. There is a dire need to understand the experiences of teenagers beyond pregnancies to facilitate comprehensive sexual and reproductive health information and service provision.
