The present study aimed to investigate the hydrogeochemical patterns and contamination of the radiogeology, especially radon activity, related to geothermal aquifer properties and to perform a risk assessment of annual effective doses covering all hydrothermal spring attractions in Southern Thailand. Radon is an established lung carcinogen; especially longer term exposure to radioactive radon through inhalation could be a cause of lung cancer risk. Altogether 22 hydrothermal spring samples were collected from the six hydrothermal provinces in Southern Thailand in early November of 2023.

Tritium, a radioactive isotope produced naturally through cosmic radiation interactions and anthropogenically through nuclear weapons testing, poses potential environmental risks, particularly within the water cycle. This study measured tritium concentrations in surface water across Thailand to establish a baseline dataset for monitoring potential contamination from nuclear activities and accidents. Surface water samples were collected from 14 large reservoirs during the wet season in October 2023 and the dry season in February 2024, providing a total of 28 samples.

Changes in brain tissue stiffness are closely linked to the development and diseases of the nervous system. Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress plays a role in various pathological processes related to epilepsy. However, the relationship between stiffness changes, ER stress, and epilepsy remains unclear.

Interventional radiology (IR) provides significant advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, yet concerns persist regarding radiological risks such as erythema, burns, and epilation. Direct dose measurements observed difficulties regarding the perturbation of the detector probe in X-ray images during fluoroscopy-guided procedures, high-cost expenses, and non-compliant patients. This study aims to develop a statistical-based model for estimating entrance skin dose (ESD) in body IR procedures using patient radiation-dose recording data.
