This case report describes metacarpophalangeal (MCP)- and metatarsophalangeal (MTP)-level amputation and reconstruction of all 4 paws of a young female domestic shorthair cat. All 4 paws, the ears, and the distal portion of the tail underwent severe frostbite injury resulting in tissue death. This study aimed to increase the concentrations of vindoline (VDL) and catharanthine (CAT) in Catharanthus roseus plants cultivated in an indoor farming system using artificial lighting and plasma-activated water (PAW). After a 61-days pre-treatment period under fluorescent lamps, plants were exposed to four treatments: white light (W) from the same fluorescent lamps, red light (R) from LEDs, W with PAW, and R with PAW. These combinations were evaluated at two sampling times: 45 days (T1) and 70 days (T2) after the end of pre-treatment (DAP).

Musculoskeletal disease (MSD) is common in ageing cats, resulting in chronic pain and mobility impairment, but diagnosis can be challenging. We hypothesised that there would be differences between cats with and without MSD in paw pressure and spatiotemporal and kinetic gait metrics. A cohort of 53 cats, aged between 7 and 10 years from the North West of the United Kingdom, underwent an orthopaedic examination and walked on a pressure sensitive walkway.

Background: Joint pain and functional impairment are hallmarks of arthritis, a painful inflammatory disease. Salicylalazine (SAZ), an anti-inflammatory compound, has demonstrated promise in modulating inflammation, thereby being selected in the current study to unveil its anti-arthritic potential.
Objectives: The aim behind this study was to assess the anti-arthritic properties of salicylalazine via evaluating its impact on paw volume, arthritic scores, oxidative stress indicators, and significant inflammatory mediators.
