Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada sindrome is an autoimmune sistemic disease characterized by granulomatous bilateral uveitis with involvement of the central nervous system which can compromise the VIII craneal pair function producing tinnitus and neurosensorial hypoacusia. We report a case diagnosed in a young woman who also suffered episodes of vertigo. We review the literature of that pathology.

In the case of handwriting, previous studies suggested that musical background improves movement speed and fluency. Neurocysticercosis, a central nervous system infection caused by the zoonotic parasite Taenia solium, is a leading cause of acquired epilepsy worldwide. It is common in areas with extensive pig farming and pork consumption. This report presents an unusual case of neurocysticercosis in a 28-year-old male from Timor-Leste, a region of nonendemicity for human cases of Taenia solium.

Sinus membrane perforations are among the most commonly reported intraoperative complications encountered during maxillary sinus floor elevation procedures performed via the lateral window approach. Large perforations (> 10 mm) can pose a major clinical challenge, and often result in failed bone augmentation and poorer long-term implant survival. Owing to these challenges, even a highly skilled oral implant surgeon with advanced training in implantology faced with such perforations may abandon grafting procedures in favor of a reentry approach.

A boy with bilateral congenital anomalies of the upper extremities with transverse absence of the left arm (agenesis) and absence of right thumb (disgenesis), fixed elbow in extension due to humeroradial synostosis thought that the humerus was intact. His wrist could move passively with 50° flexion, 0° extension, and 70° radial deviation. The other 4 fingers were intact, 4-5 metatarsal bones were in synostosis, and the fifth finger was clinodactyly.
