Purpose: The dynamic alignment of the lumbar spine, pelvis and femur is increasingly studied in hip preservation surgery. However, the interaction between lumbopelvic alignment, acetabular and femoral morphology and its influence on patients' preoperative symptom burden remains poorly understood. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether lumbopelvic malalignment affects osseous hip morphology and exacerbates preoperative patient-reported joint functionality in patients undergoing periacetabular osteotomy (PAO).

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an invaluable method of choice for anatomical and functional in vivo imaging of the brain. Still, accurate delineation of the brain structures remains a crucial task of MR image evaluation. This study presents a novel analytical algorithm developed in MATLAB for the automatic segmentation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) spaces in preclinical non-contrast MR images of the mouse brain.

Background And Purpose: Degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) is the most common cause of spinal cord (SC) dysfunction. In routine clinical practice, SC changes are well depicted using conventional MRI, especially T2-weighted imaging. However, this modality usually fails to provide satisfactory clinico-radiological correlations.

: Multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy (MCSM) presents complex challenges for surgical management, particularly in patients with kyphosis or significant anterior pathology. This study aimed to assess the long-term efficacy of modified expansive open-door laminoplasty (MEOLP) combined with short-level anterior cervical fusion (ACF) in providing decompression, preserving alignment, and maintaining range of motion (ROM) over a nine-year follow-up. : A retrospective analysis was conducted on 124 MCSM patients treated with MEOLP combined with ACF between 2011 and 2015.

This study aims to compare shank, rearfoot and forefoot coordination and its variability between runners with habitual rearfoot strike (RFS) and non-RFS (NRFS). 58 healthy males participated in this study (32 RFS, 26 NRFS). Coordination patterns and variability were assessed for the shank, rearfoot, and forefoot segments using a modified vector coding technique during running.
