Heterogeneity is ubiquitous in biological and synthetic active matter systems that are inherently out of equilibrium. Typically, such active mixtures involve not only conservative interactions between the constituents but also nonreciprocal couplings, whose full consequences for the collective behavior still remain elusive. Here, we study a minimal active nonreciprocal mixture with both symmetric isotropic and nonreciprocal polar interactions.

Covalent integration of polymers and porous organic frameworks (POFs), including metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs) and hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs), represent a promising strategy for overcoming the existing limitations of traditional porous materials. This integration allows for the combination of the advantages of polymers, i.e.

Glucocorticoids (GCs) are the most prescribed anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive drugs. However, their use is often limited by substantial side effects, such as GC-induced osteoporosis (GIO) with the underlying mechanisms still not fully understood. In this study, we identify Tau as a low-affinity binding receptor for GCs that plays a crucial role in GIO.

Septins are evolutionarily conserved GTP-binding proteins mediating innate immunity, autophagy and inflammation in higher animals; however, they are yet to be fully characterized in fish. The study encompasses cloning of complete septin 2 cDNA from the rohu carp (Labeo rohita) that consisted of an open reading frame of 1050 bp and phylogenetic amino acid similarity of 99.43 % to cyprinid Onychostoma macrolepis.

Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE) is a crucial tool for assessing cardiac morphology and function quickly and non-invasively without ionising radiation. However, the examination is subject to intra- and inter-user variability and recordings are often limited to 2D imaging and assessments of end-diastolic and end-systolic volumes. We have developed a novel, fully automated machine learning-based framework to generate a personalised 4D (3D plus time) model of the left ventricular (LV) blood pool with high temporal resolution.
