Introduction: Approximately 70% of patients with heart failure (HF) also have kidney disease. Mortality is increased both by cardiorenal syndrome (CRS) and by the exacerbation of other comorbidities. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical performance of patients with CRS who are followed up by the Cardiorenal Unit (CRU).

Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients have an increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD), necessitating effective risk assessment methods. This study evaluates the calcium-phosphorus product (Ca × P) to estimated glomerular filtration rate (Ca × P/eGFR) ratio as a potential biomarker for predicting CV risk in pre-dialysis CKD patients.
Methods: Eighty-four CKD patients in stages G1-G4, according to the KDIGO criteria, were classified into CVD ( = 43) and non-CVD ( = 41) groups.

Background/objectives: Heparan sulfate (HS) is a polysaccharide that is found on the surface of cells and has various biological functions in the body.
Methods: The purpose of this study was to predict the pharmacological effects and molecular mechanisms of HS on Alzheimer's disease (AD) and neuroinflammation (NI) through a network pharmacology analysis and to experimentally verify them.
Results: We performed functional enrichment analysis of common genes between HS target genes and AD-NI gene sets and obtained items such as the "Cytokine-Mediated Signaling Pathway", "Positive Regulation Of MAPK Cascade", and "MAPK signaling pathway".

Background: The Cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) syndrome, a concept recently proposed by the American Heart Association (AHA), highlights the intricate connection between metabolic, renal, and cardiovascular illnesses. Furthermore, the Atherogenic Index of Plasma (AIP), a useful biomarker for evaluating the risk of Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs), has been associated with the risk of Adverse Cardiovascular Events (ACEs). Nonetheless, its precise function in populations in CKM syndrome Stages 0-3 remains unknown.

Background: Anxiety and depression are associated with adverse outcomes in cardiorenal syndrome patients undergoing hemodialysis, including decreased quality of life, poorer clinical parameters, and lower treatment adherence.
Objective: This study aimed to examine the level of psychological wellbeing and its relationship with treatment adherence among dialysis patients with cardiorenal syndrome.
Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted between February and May 2021 on convenience sampling of 100 patients in two dialysis centers in Hadhramout, Yemen.
