Introduction: Gastric cancer liver metastases (GCLM) is a highly heterogeneous disease with a poor prognosis. The multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment model is applied throughout the entire treatment process. In addition to the previous RECORD study, which was based on the C-GCLM classification system developed by our team, there is a lack of recent data on patient baseline characteristics, clinical treatment and efficacy evaluation.

Background: The morbidity and mortality associated with influenza viruses are a significant public health challenge. Annual vaccination against circulating influenza strains reduces hospitalisations and increases survival rates but requires a yearly redesign of vaccines against prevalent subtypes. The complex genetics of influenza viruses with high antigenic drift create an ongoing challenge in vaccine development to address dynamic influenza epidemiology.

Background: Allogeneic hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation is the only curative treatment for myelofibrosis. Driver mutations are the pathophysiological hallmark of the disease, but the role of mutation clearance after transplantation is unclear.
Methods: We used highly sensitive polymerase-chain-reaction technology to analyze the dynamics of driver mutations in peripheral-blood samples from 324 patients with myelofibrosis (73% with mutations, 23% with mutations, and 4% with mutations) who were undergoing transplantation after reduced-intensity conditioning.
We compared virus replication and host responses in human alveolar epithelium infected with highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) A(H5N1) viruses. A/Vietnam/1203/2004 replicated most efficiently, followed by A/Texas/37/2024, then A/bovine/Ohio/B24OSU-342/2024. Induction of interferon-stimulated genes was lower with A/Texas/37/2024 and A/bovine/Ohio/B24OSU-342/2024, which may indicate a reduced disease severity of those viruses.
