The authors questionnaired 103 patients with hypertensive disease using 30 questions with simplified system of answers. The analysis showed that rural patients with hypertensive disease had their disease diagnosed during two years since the disease started only in 6% of cases. 36% of patients do not have an apparatus to measure blood pressure. 64% of hypertensive disease cases are diagnosed after patients present his/her complaints. Rural patients in 44.6% of cases received their treatment at home. In 74% of cases, patients consider that to be healthy they should receive antihypertensive therapy, but start the treatment in 61% of cases with raunatine and adelfane. Patients with hypertensive disease are rarely on beta-adrenoblockers (11.7%) and calcium antagonists (9.7%).
