Rehabilitation together wit pharmalogical therapy determines effiacy of pasticity treatment. In the article we present drugs that diminish muscle tension according to their way of administration: drugs injected to the muscle, e.g. botulinum toxin, drugs given orally (diazepam, baclofen) and intrathecaly (baclofen). The mechanism of action, the same as advantages and adverse reactions of these drugs has been shortly described. It seems that botulinum toxion has he special meaning in spasticity treatment.
