Plant diseases constantly threaten crops and food systems, while global connectivity further increases the risks of spreading existing and exotic pathogens. Here, we first explore how an integrative approach involving plant pathway knowledgegraphs, differential gene expression data, and biochemical data informing Raman spectroscopy could be used to detect plant pathways responding to pathogen attacks. Great attentions have been paid to anticorrosion coatings with self-healing performances to enhance its reliability and protection period, but massive challenges still remain for developing a coating with selectively triggered and accurately controllable self-healing behaviors. Herein, by integrating lamellar graphene oxide (GO) into a polycaprolactone (PCL) nanofiber loaded with 8-hydroxyquinoline (8HQ) corrosion inhibitors, a composite coating with precisely controllable self-healing capabilities is developed. The coating defects can be remotely and accurately repaired under near-infrared (NIR) light irradiation within a very short time.

Ecological Corridors (ECs) are proposed as cost-effective solutions to improve ecological connectivity in fragmented landscapes. Planning the implementation of ECs must take into account landscape features as they affect the viability of the endeavor and the ECs associated costs. A novel set of geoprocessing tools were used to assess (i) economic viability; (ii) socioeconomic cost-effectiveness; and (iii) to determine priority targets for ECs establishment in a highly fragmented region of Atlantic Forest.

Monitoring nuclear reactor operations is vital for nuclear safeguards as it ensures that reactors are in compliance with international legal agreements. Validating nuclear facilities and activities, including potential clandestine activities, is currently accomplished by using remotely sensed data from satellites and aircrafts and on-site sampling. However, these techniques are temporally-limited as sampling and interpretation of environmental releases frequently involve labor-intensive, on-site collections.

General Practice Research Unit, Department of Public Health and Nursing, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway.
Background: The digital shift toward remote consultations in general practice needs ongoing monitoring to understand its impact on general practice organizations and the wider health care system.
Objective: This study aimed to explore how remote consultations impact on contracted general practitioner (GP) practices and how GPs perceive the implications of this uptake for the overall health care system.
Methods: In total, 5 focus groups were conducted with a total of 18 GPs from all 4 health regions of Norway in 2022.
