Triclocarban (TCC) is an extensively used antimicrobial agent that exhibits endocrine disrupt potential, but its effects on fetal growth remain largely unknown. Herein, we measured TCC, its four hydroxylated metabolites and two dechlorination products, as well as the oxidative stress biomarker 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) in maternal urine samples collected across three trimesters of pregnancy in Wuhan, China. Linear mixed-effect models and multiple linear regression models were applied for correlation analysis.

Objective: Compare the weight loss results between long-term procedures up to 5 years, after undergoing MGL and RYGB in Mexican patients with obesity and associated comorbidity. The most common bariatric surgical procedures worldwide are, laparoscopic gastric sleeve (MGL) and laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB), as a treatment for weight loss and remission of comorbidity associated with obesity; however, they are the long-term weight loss results in the Mexican population are unknown.
Method: Retrospective, observational cohort of patients with obesity undergoing MGL or RYGB in a private hospital Medica Sur, in Mexico City, in the period from 2013 to 2021.

- Mycotoxin exposure, particularly Ochratoxin A (OTA), during pregnancy has been linked to negative birth outcomes and slower infant growth in a study of 274 newborns in rural Burkina Faso.
- Analysis of blood samples revealed that 38.3% of newborns had OTA, which correlated with lower birth weight and reduced length growth over the first six months.
- The findings highlight the need for improved food safety measures and nutrition to reduce mycotoxin exposure in pregnant women in order to support healthier infant development.

Aims: To evaluate the effects of early and late pre-partum shearing of Corriedale ewes carrying single fetuses on placental and lamb development and neonatal lamb behaviour.
Methods: At 70 days of gestation, 37 multiparous Corriedale ewes with known gestation dates were randomly allocated into three groups: S70 (n = 12) and S110 (n = 12), shorn at Day 70 and 110 of gestation, and US (n = 13), that were not shorn pre-partum. Gestation length, lambing duration, placental expulsion time, placental weight, number and weight of cotyledons, and placental efficiency (lamb weight/placental weight) were determined.
