Objective: To evaluate the effect of the shade and thickenss of luting agent on the final color of different thickness Solidex resin in vitro.

Methods: Five specimens of Solidex resin were fabricated at thickness of 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 mm. The pieces of Ni-Cr alloy, two shade composite resin and opaque porcelain veneered Ni-Cr alloy were used as backgrounds. The CIE L*a*b* values of specimens were measured by a colorimeter (ShadeEye NCC) to determine the colorimetric difference, when different thickness of specimens were overlaid the different shade and thickness of luting agent at the same backgrounds.

Results: The final color difference of specimens was significantly influenced by the factors of luting agent and the interaction of specimens thickness, backgrounds and luting agent(P< 0.001). Regarding the thickness of luting agent, A3 shade luting agents produced clinically unacceptable difference (deltaE*>2) in the final color of Solidex specimens at the thickness of 0.5 mm. Regarding the shade of luting agent, the color difference was more than 2 when the Solidex specimens at the thickness of 0.5 mm or 1.0 mm were against the 0.2 mm thick luting agent.

Conclusion: The final color of thinner Solidex specimens was significant affected by the change of the shade and thick of luting agent.

Investigate the impact of antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) using different photosensitizers (PSs) such as indocyanine green (IG), curcumin (CC), and methylene blue (MB), with or without intracanal application of calcium hydroxide (CH), on the push-out bond strength of glass-fiber posts (GFPs) to intraradicular dentin, the chemical composition of the root substrate, and the sealing of the adhesive interface across different thirds of intraradicular dentin. A total of 112 bovine teeth underwent biomechanical preparation and were divided into eight experimental groups (n = 14 each): Negative control with deionized water; positive control with deionized water + CH; IG group with indocyanine green and infrared laser; IG + CH group; CC group with curcumin and blue LED; CC + CH group; MB group with methylene blue and red laser; and MB + CH group. The push-out bond strength was measured using a universal testing machine (n = 8), and scanning electron microscopy characterized the fracture patterns.

Background/purpose: Dual-cure resin-cements are used for various dental restorations. However, whether the curing modes of these resin-cements influence gingival inflammation remains unclear. Hence, herein, we evaluated the effects of dual-cure resin-cement curing modes on gingival cytotoxicity and inflammatory responses.

Objectives: The aim of this in-vitro study was to evaluate the effects of antacid gastric syrups on the surface roughness and microhardness of restorative dental materials.

Materials And Methods: Three different composite resins, nanohybrid, microhybrid and giomer, and four antacid gastric syrups were used in the study. A total of 150 samples were obtained by preparing 50 (10 mm x 2 mm) disk-shaped samples of each composite type.

Objective: To clarify the role of concentrated growth factors (CGF) in the treatment of periodontal cement defects using calcium phosphate cement (CPC) with self-curing properties.

Methods: Thirty-six intrabony defects were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group received CGF+CPC treatment (=18), while the control group received CPC treatment alone (=18).
