Background: Stress hyperglycemia ratio is a novel indicator of acute coronary synthesis (ACS), which is closely related to the severity and complications of ACS and other cardiovascular diseases. However, its relationship with the progression of non target coronary lesions remains unclear. The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between stress hyperglycemia ratio and the progression of non target coronary lesions.

A novel gene-silencing medication inclisiran has been introduced. Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) allows to assess the dynamics of plaque lipid content in the context of optimal lipid-lowering pharmacotherapy.

Background: Limited data exist on the long-term impact of beta-blocker therapy after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with stable coronary artery disease (CAD) and preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF).
Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effects of early beta-blocker initiation vs no initiation following PCI in patients with stable CAD and preserved LVEF.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study employed target trial emulation and incident user design, utilizing the TriNetx database (2009-2024).

Background & Aim: The definition and clinical relevance of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)-related myocardial infarction (MI) has been a topic of significant debate and controversy. It has particularly garnered widespread attention recently due to a contemporary trend of including it as a component of primary end points in major trials. The study aimed to assess the clinical relevance of PCI-related MI (PMI) according to the Fourth Universal Definition of MI using a high-sensitivity troponin (hs-Tn) assay in a real-world setting.

Methods And Results: The REAL-CAD (Randomized Evaluation of Aggressive or Moderate Lipid Lowering Therapy With Pitavastatin in Coronary Artery Disease) study is a prospective, multicenter, randomized trial of high-dose (pitavastatin 4 mg/day) or low-dose (pitavastatin 1 mg/day) statin therapy in 12 118 patients with chronic coronary syndrome. The primary end point was a composite of cardiovascular death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, stroke, or unstable angina requiring hospitalization (major adverse cardiac and cerebral events [MACCE]).
