148 patients attending the outpatient Tropical Medicine clinic, El Minia University Hospital were studied for parasitic infections in relation to ABO blood groups. There was a statistically significant relationship between G. lamblia infection (69.23%) and blood group (A), as well as a tendency of blood group B to be excess among cases of E. coli (46.15%). On the other hand S. haematobium, S. mansoni, H. nana, E. vermicularis, A. lumbricoides and E. histolytica showed no significant relationship to ABO blood groups.
