Background: Outcomes after sirolimus-eluting stent (SES: Cypher) implantation remained to be elucidated in Japan.
Methods And Results: Among 1,070 consecutive angiographic follow-up lesions, 99 lesions underwent target lesion revascularization (TLR) with in-stent restenosis (ISR). Retrospective estimation by multivariate analysis including 50 variables showed that the ostiums of right coronary and left circumflex arteries, hemodialysis, calcification, non-direct stenting, ISR of SES, and non-eccentric lesion were the predictors of TLR. There was no documented late stent thrombosis (LST) among 2,166 lesions and very LST (VLST) among 1,423 lesions.
Conclusion: Further revises are needed to implant SES to these predictive lesions. LST and VLST were very rare.

Background: Limited large-scale, real-world data exist on the prevalence and clinical impact of discordance between fractional flow reserve (FFR) and nonhyperemic pressure ratios (NHPRs).
Methods: The J-PRIDE registry (Clinical Outcomes of Japanese Patients With Coronary Artery Disease Assessed by Resting Indices and Fractional Flow Reserve: A Prospective Multicenter Registry) prospectively enrolled 4304 lesions in 3200 patients from 20 Japanese centers. The lesions were classified into FFR+/NHPR-, FFR-/NHPR+, FFR+/NHPR+, or FFR-/NHPR groups according to cutoff values of 0.

Endovascular treatment (EVT) for patients with lower extremity artery disease is widely used as a less invasive alternative to surgical bypass. Recently, transradial artery intervention has gained popularity owing to its minimally invasive nature. The distance from the radial artery to the target vessel is critical for success; however, effective pre-assessment methods have not yet been established.

As an enzyme that plays an important role in DNA repair, poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase-1 (PARP-1) has become a popular target for cancer therapy. Nuclear medicine molecular imaging technology, supplemented by radiolabeled PARP-1 inhibitors, can accurately determine the expression level of PARP-1 at lesion sites to help patients choose an appropriate treatment plan. In this work, niraparib was modified with a hydrazinonicotinamide (HYNIC) group to generate the ligand NPBHYNIC, which has an affinity (IC) of 450.

Damage to the primary visual cortex (V1) results in visual field deficits on the contralateral side of the world corresponding to the damaged region. Patients with such loss nonetheless show varying residual vision within this apparently blind region, with the neural mechanisms underlying this ability obscured by small study populations. We identified lesions on structural scans from 39 patients (12 female) with hemianopia and occipital lobe damage.

Background/aims: Pathological evaluation is crucial for diagnosing biliary lesions and determining appropriate treatment strategies. However, tissue sampling via the transpapillary route can be difficult. In this study, we aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of a novel tapered-tip sheath system for tissue sampling from biliary strictures.
