A case of pulsation in the abdomen induced by a maladjusted cardiac pacemaker-CRT (cardiac resynchronisation therapy) with an implantable defibrillator is presented. The CRT stimulated the diaphragm causing a repetitive contraction synchronised with the heart beat, giving the picture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm.

Marfan syndrome (MFS) is a connective tissue disorder that can lead to cardiovascular and musculoskeletal abnormalities. Aortic aneurysms and dissections are frequently seen in patients with MFS whereas peripheral vascular aneurysms in subclavian and axillary arteries territory considered very unusual. We reported a case of 54-year-old female with known history of MFS who had undergone a mechanical valve Bentall procedure due to severe aortic regurgitation and ascending aorta aneurysm in addition to thoracoabdominal aortic repair and who presented with a pulsatile painful mass in her right axillary region that turn to be significant true aneurysms of right subclavian and axillary arteries.

Ballistic embolism represents an unusual complication of vascular by a flying object injury. Phlebectasia of the internal jugular vein (IJV) is an unusual vascular anomaly, particularly in paediatric patients. Here, we present a case of IJV phlebectasia of a girl in her early childhood, highlighting its clinical presentation, diagnostic workup and management. The patient presented with a painless, non-pulsatile neck mass, which was identified as an enlarged IJV on imaging studies.
