Intralesional steroids are commonly used in dermatology. Besides their strong anti-inflammatory effects, the long acting steroids and other preservative agents may induce interesting histopathological changes, which may simulate focal mucinosis or a granulomatous pathology. A variety of histopathological changes induced by Intralesional injection of steroid in a lesion of keloid are being described.

BACKGROUND Vulvar melanoma during pregnancy is exceptionally rare. Hormonal and immunological changes in pregnancy have raised concerns about the potential for accelerated melanoma progression and poorer maternal outcomes. This case report describes an unusual presentation of vulvar melanoma in a pregnant patient, which rapidly progressed despite previous treatments, but resulted in a favorable fetal outcome.

Vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) represents the second cause of vaginal infections in childbearing-age women. It mainly affects the vulva and vagina; however, other organs can be compromised, with consequences that are not well known yet. This study investigates the protective effects of resveratrol (RSV) against heat stress (HS)-induced testicular injury in rats. Climate change has exacerbated heat stress, particularly affecting male fertility by impairing testicular function and sexual behavior. A total of 32 rats were allocated into four experimental groups: control, RSV control, HS control, and RSV + HS.

Background And Aim: Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is a complex neurological disorder in individuals with liver diseases, necessitating effective neuroprotective interventions to alleviate its adverse outcomes. Berberine (BBR), a natural compound with well-established anti-fibrotic and neuroprotective properties, has not been extensively studied in the context of glial activation under hyperammonaemic conditions. This study evaluates the neuroprotective potential of BBR in a thioacetamide (TAA)-induced HE rat model, focusing on its effects on glial activation and NLRP3 inflammasome signalling.

Background And Objectives: Transient neurological deficits (TNDs) in patients with chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH), such as fluctuating aphasia, hemiparesis, or sensory disturbances, present diagnostic and treatment challenges as their pathophysiology remains unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between specific MRI findings and TNDs in patients with CSDH and explored their relationship through intraoperative observation.
Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 72 patients with CSDH who underwent preoperative MRI among 251 CSDH patients treated from January 2020 to December 2023.
