The physical measurements of a fluid bed granulator can be exploited in construction of an operating window, a design space, for process performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of inlet air humidity changes on temperature in different parts of a granulator system, on fluidisation behaviour and on the particle size of the final granules. A humidifying setup was constructed on a bench-scale fluid bed granulator that enabled elevated humidity levels and sharp humidity changes of the inlet air. Ibuprofen granules were produced at the various inlet air humidity levels classified as low, intermediate and high. A novel fluidisation parameter was developed. The more improperly the particles were fluidising the smaller was the relationship of airflow rate and fan speed. Four different failure modes were identified and classified, based on the fluidisation parameter: over-fluidisation, risk of improper fluidisation, improper fluidisation and collapsed bed. It was possible to construct process trajectories for smooth fluidisation, which the optimal granulation process should follow.

In order to solve the engineering problem of a large amount of wind leakage in the 8106 comprehensive mining working face of the Carboniferous System under the influence of overlapping mining of two coal seams in Yongdingzhuang Mine, Datong Mining Area, this paper utilizes finite element numerical simulation software to study the wind leakage characteristics of the 8106 working face and the distribution range of the spontaneous combustion "three zones" of the mining area. The results show that, under the condition of external air leakage, the internal pressure of the goaf is greater than the external pressure, the upper pressure is greater than the lower pressure, and the seepage direction is from the top down and from the inside out. Under the condition of no external air leakage, the air leakage source is mainly concentrated in the air inlet lane.

Advanced Adiabatic Compressed Air Energy Storage (AACAES) is a technology for storing energy in thermomechanical form. This technology involves several equipment such as compressors, turbines, heat storage capacities, air coolers, caverns, etc. During charging or discharging, the heat storage and especially the cavern will induce transient behavior of operating points, notably temperature, pressure, and volume flow.

Mid-infrared laser absorption spectroscopy enables rapid and nondestructive analysis of methane clumped isotopes. However, current analytical methods require a sample size of 20 mL STP (0.82 mmol) of pure CH gas, which significantly limits its application to natural samples.

The Maisotsenko cycle-based coolers have gained increasing attention in recent years due to their advantages of low energy consumption and environmental friendliness. Optimizing the model structure and operating conditions is the primary approach for enhancing the cooling performance of dew-point evaporation systems. In this paper, a novel mathematical model of the perforated dew-point evaporative cooler was developed to investigate its cooling performance.

This article introduces an innovative multipurpose system that integrates a solar power plant with a coastal wind farm to generate refrigeration for refinery processes and industrial air conditioning. The system comprises multiple wind turbines, solar power plants, the Kalina cycle to provide partial energy for the absorption refrigeration cycle used in industrial air conditioning, and a compression refrigeration cycle for propane gas liquefaction. An extensive energy and exergy analysis was conducted on the proposed system, considering various thermodynamic parameters such as the solar power plant's energy output, the absorption chiller's cooling load, the electricity generated by the turbines, the wind turbines' power output, and the energy efficiency and exergy of each cycle within the system.
