Acoustic emission information can describe the damage degree of rock samples in the process of failure. However, as a discrete non-stationary signal, acoustic emission information is difficult to be effectively processed by conventional methods, while wavelet analysis is an effective method for non-stationary signal processing. Therefore, acoustic emission signal is deeply studied by using wavelet analysis method.

Non-Hermitian models describe the physics of ubiquitous open systems with gain and loss. One intriguing aspect of non-Hermitian models is their inherent topology that can produce intriguing boundary phenomena like resilient higher-order topological insulators (HOTIs) and non-Hermitian skin effects (NHSE). Recently, time-multiplexed lattices in synthetic dimensions have emerged as a versatile platform for the investigation of these effects free of geometric restrictions.

Based on the success of cancer immunotherapy, personalized cancer vaccines have emerged as a leading oncology treatment. Antigen presentation on MHC class I (MHC-I) is crucial for the adaptive immune response to cancer cells, necessitating highly predictive computational methods to model this phenomenon. Here, we introduce HLApollo, a transformer-based model for peptide-MHC-I (pMHC-I) presentation prediction, leveraging the language of peptides, MHC, and source proteins.

Hydrogen gas (H) can be produced via entirely solar-driven photocatalytic water splitting (PWS). A promising set of organic materials for facilitating PWS are the so-called inverted singlet-triplet, INVEST, materials. Inversion of the singlet (S) and triplet (T) energies reduces the population of triplet states, which are otherwise destructive under photocatalytic conditions.

Background: Transfer of the supinator motor branches to the posterior interosseous nerve (SPIN) was first described as a reliable method of restoration of digit extension in cases of paralysis when there is retained function in the 5th and 6th cervical nerve roots with loss of function in the 8th cervical nerve root.
Methods: We performed a retrospective review of all the SPIN transfers that were performed in our unit which included 16 limbs in 14 patients over a 6-year period. The median age was 49 years (range 22-74).
