To discuss the present general situation of the pharmacodynamics research of Guizhi decoction. Look up the literature about the research of pharmacodynamics experiments of Guizhi decoction in recent years, then to analyze and coordinate the useful information. Guizhi decoction has the bilateral accommodation for testing animals'suboriferous, body temperature, blood pressure, peristalsis and immune function. And it has the pharmacodynamics effect in resisting bacteria, virus, pain and allergy, reducing the blood sugar, increasing the cardiac muscle blood flux, improving the digestion and transmition of stomach and intestines, and easing up spasmus. It can also prevent the arthritis, and cure the cervical spondylosis and chronic pancreatitis.

As a widely recognized traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) decoction prescription in China, numerous studies have shown that Wutou-Guizhi decoction (WTGZD) exhibits significant therapeutic efficacy for Rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Nevertheless, the underlying molecular mechanisms have yet to be fully elucidated. This study aims to establish a database of active ingredients for WTGZD and identify RA-related target genes.

This study aims to investigate the effect of Zhishi Xiebai Guizhi Decoction on the phenotypic transformation of pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells(PASMCs) in rats with hypoxic pulmonary hypertension(HPH). Healthy SPF SD rats were randomly assigned to five groups: control group, hypoxia model group, hypoxia + low-dose Zhishi Xiebai Guizhi Decoction group(440 mg·kg~(-1)·d~(-1)), hypoxia + high-dose Zhishi Xiebai Guizhi Decoction group(880 mg·kg~(-1)·d~(-1)), and hypoxia + sildenafil group(30 mg·kg~(-1)·d~(-1)), with right rats in each group. Rats in the hypoxia model and hypoxia + drug groups were exposed to a hypobaric oxygen chamber with a simulated altitude of 5 000 m to induce the PH model.

Background: Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a severe cardio-pulmonary vascular disease, involves complex molecular mechanism especially during the pathological process of pulmonary vascular remodeling, brings a significant challenge to clinical treatment and thus resulting in high mortality rates. Classic Traditional Chinese medicine formula, Zhishi Xiebai Guizhi Decoction (ZXGD), holds therapeutic potential for PH. In present study, we sought to explore therapeutic potential of ZXGD against PH in rats.

Background: Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu Decoction can be used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, but there is scarce literature on using ultrasound combined with electrophysiology to evaluate the efficacy of this traditional Chinese medicine.
Aim: This study aimed to explore the clinical effect of Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu decoction on cold-dampness arthralgia rheumatoid arthritis (RA) by ultrasound and electrophysiological examination.
Methods: A total of 64 patients with rheumatoid arthritis were randomly divided into two groups, with 32 cases in each group.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Anti-NMDAR encephalitis is one of the most common types of autoimmune encephalitis, primarily presenting with prodromal symptoms, such as fever and headache, followed by a range of neurological and psychiatric symptoms. Chaihu Guizhi Decoction (CGD), a traditional Chinese medicine formulated by Zhang Zhongjing in the Eastern Han Dynasty, has been effectively used in clinical practice to treat the symptoms of Taiyang and Shaoyang disorders, including fever, headache, and psychiatric disorders.
Aim Of The Study: To demonstrate the protective effects of CGD in an animal model of anti-NMDAR encephalitis and explore the potential mechanisms involved.
