Background: Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (UGIE) plays a crucial role in diagnosis of gastrointestinal pathology. Therefore, this systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the indications and findings UGIE, while exploring their regional distribution and temporal trend across Africa.
Methods: Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis of pooled prevalence for various indications and endoscopic findings were analyzed from multiple studies in accordance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines.

Objective: To capture the clinical appearance, diagnostics, treatment and course of this rare disease.

BACKGROUND The thyroid cartilage is the most prominent laryngeal cartilage located beneath the hyoid bone. Non-traumatic fractures of the larynx, including the thyroid cartilage, are rare and can occur when the glottis is closed and intrathoracic pressure suddenly increases. This report describes the case of a 42-year-old man presenting with hoarseness and pain when swallowing and a diagnosis of non-traumatic thyroid cartilage fracture following sudden neck movement, highlighting the importance of recognizing atypical mechanisms of laryngeal injury.

Introduction: We aim to report a case of squamous cell carcinoma 29 years following restorative colonic transplant in esophagoplasty for caustic ingestion and to emphasize the importance of long-term follow-up.
Presentation Of Case: We report a case of a 59-yo patient with malignant degeneration of colon transplant squamous cell 29 years following restorative esophagoplasty for caustic ingestion. He reported symptoms of progressively worsening dysphagia, odynophagia, and left cervical mass with fistula.

A 68-year-old male with active amphetamine use presented to the hospital with acute emesis, odynophagia, and mid-sternal chest pain. Imaging was initially concerning for esophageal perforation. After full evaluation including barium esophagram and serial computed tomography (CT) of the chest, no esophageal perforation was confirmed.
