Rapid and sensitive protein detection methods are of benefit to clinical diagnosis, pathological mechanism research, and infection prevention. However, routine protein detection technologies, such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and Western blot, suffer from low sensitivity, poor quantification and labourious operation. Herein, we developed a fully automated protein analysis system to conduct fast protein quantification at the single molecular level.

Background: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has not been routinely used for infants with brachial plexus birth injury (BPBI); instead, the decision to operate is based on the trajectory of clinical recovery by 6 months of age. The aim of this study was to develop an MRI protocol that can be performed without sedation or contrast in order to identify infants who would benefit from surgery at an earlier age than the age at which that decision could be made clinically.
Methods: This prospective multicenter NAPTIME (Non-Anesthetized Plexus Technique for Infant MRI Evaluation) study included infants aged 28 to 120 days with BPBI from 3 tertiary care centers.

Snap-through, a rapid transition of a system from an equilibrium state to a nonadjacent equilibrium state, is a valuable design element of soft devices for converting a monolithic stimulus into systematic responses with impulsive motions. A common way to benefit from snap-through is to embody it within structures and materials, such as bistable structures. Torque-reversal mechanisms discovered in nature, which harness snap-through instability via muscular forces, may have comparative advantages.

Aquatic biomass, particularly microalgae and duckweed, presents a promising and sustainable alternative source of plant-based protein and bioactive compounds for food and feed applications. This review highlights the nutritional potential of these aquatic species, focusing on their high protein content, rapid growth rates, and adaptability to nonarable environments. Microalgae, such as and spp.

Silicon carbide (SiC) is a semiconductor used in quantum information processing, microelectromechanical systems, photonics, power electronics, and harsh environment sensors. However, its high-temperature stability, high breakdown voltage, wide bandgap, and high mechanical strength are accompanied by a chemical inertness, which makes complex micromachining difficult. Photoelectrochemical (PEC) etching is a simple, rapid means of wet processing SiC, including the use of dopant-selective etch stops that take advantage of the mature SiC homoepitaxy.
