To estimate the cost-effectiveness of cetuximab in combination with radiotherapy compared with radiotherapy alone, for the treatment of locally advanced head and neck cancer patients in Spain. A probabilistic Markov model (second-order Monte Carlo simulation) with a five-year time horizon and quarterly Markov cycles was performed from the perspective of the Spanish National Health System (NHS). The additional cost and quality-adjusted life-year (QALY) gain per patient receiving radiotherapy in combination with cetuximab compared with radiotherapy alone was €4356 (95% CI: €4350-4362) and 0.

Background: Diffusion-weighted (DW) turbo-spin-echo (TSE) imaging offers improved geometric fidelity compared to single-shot echo-planar-imaging (EPI). However, it suffers from low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and prolonged acquisition times, thereby restricting its applications in diagnosis and MRI-guided radiotherapy (MRgRT).
Purpose: To develop a joint k-b space reconstruction algorithm for concurrent reconstruction of DW-TSE images and the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) map with enhanced image quality and more accurate quantitative measurements.

Background: Laryngeal respiratory dystonia (LRD) is diagnosed based on clinical presentation, patient history, and physical examination. Key indicators include dyspnea, desynchronized breathing patterns, and laryngoscopic findings that reveal vocal fold adduction during inspiration. Treatment for LRD remains controversial and often yields limited effectiveness.

Objective: The efficacy of the transcanal endoscopic approach in tympanoplasty, cholesteatoma removal, and stapedotomy is detailed. This study reviews evidence on the feasibility of endoscopic ossiculoplasty as a suitable alternative to traditional microscopic ossiculoplasty.
Data Sources: PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library were searched from inception to 19 June 2024 for articles comparing endoscopic and microscopic ossicular chain reconstruction.

Background: The Sino-nasal Outcome Test (SNOT-22) is a 22-question survey that is utilized to evaluate health-related quality of life of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). The Patient Global Impression Symptom Severity (PGISS) is a similar yet versatile instrument that combines features of both a Likert scale and a visual analog to assess symptom severity in CRS patients. While previous studies have evaluated the validity of SNOT-22 as an instrument to measure CRS patients' symptom severity, no studies have evaluated PGISS scale's ability to evaluate and guide treatment plans for CRS patients.
