We investigated the prevalence of human CE among nomadic communities in 4 areas of Khuzestan province: Behbahan, Shoush, Masjed Soleiman and Izeh. Blood samples from 3446 individuals from 700 randomly selected families were examined for detection of antibody against Echinococcus granuIosus. Family members were interviewed to assess possible risk factors for infection such as age, sex, dog ownership. The prevalence of CE was 13.8%: 1.9% in Behbahan, 12.4% in Shoush, 17.3% in Masjed Soleiman and 18.2% in Izeh. These differences were statistically significant. There was no significant association between CE seropositivity and age, sex and dog ownership.

Ever-increasing global energy demand, from one hand and reduced oil initially in place in oil reservoirs due to production and reduced natural reservoir production capacity, on the other hand, has encouraged researchers to investigate different methods to improve and increase enhanced oil recovery (EOR) from oil reservoirs. One method is to employ nanotechnology in injected water, where nanoparticles could affect interfacial tension (IFT) between water and oil and wettability through properties, including high specific surface area and nanoparticle size. However, a major challenge in using nanoparticles in injected water is the instability of these particles in water, which ultimately reduces the efficiency of EOR.

The first case of COVID-19 in Iran was reported on February 25, 2020, leading in the implementation of a government-mandated lockdown as the virus gradually spread to different cities. The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on air quality in Ahvaz city by utilizing Sentinel 5 images and the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform. Specifically, the concentrations of air pollutants, including CO, NO2, SO2, and HCHO, during the COVID-19 pandemic from May 10 to June 01, 2021, were examined.

PM-associated potential toxic elements (PTEs) can enter the respiratory system and cause health problems. In the current study, the health risk indices caused by PM inhalation by adults, children, and infants in 158 European cities between 2013 and 2019 were studied to determine if Europeans were adversely affected by carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic factors or not. The Mann-Kendall trend test examined PM's increasing or decreasing trend.
