Multifocal systemic fibrosclerosis (MSF) is a multisystem disease, which often mimics malignancy. A 70-year-old asymptomatic man with lesions in the lung, prostate, submandibular glands and bile ducts appeared to have malignancy. Biopsy of a lung nodule showed IgG4-positive plasma cell infiltration and the serum IgG4 was elevated. A diagnosis of MSF was made and the patient treated with oral prednisolone at 1 mg/kg/day. Sclerosing cholangitis, retroperitoneal fibrosis, Riedel's thyroiditis, fibrotic pseudotumor of the orbit and fibrosis of the salivary glands have all been reported to be part of this disease. It is now necessary for MSF to be considered in patients with pulmonary lesions mimicking lung cancer.

Objective: This study aimed to examine the clinical characteristics of choroidal metastases (CMs) and assess the efficacy of various treatment strategies for CMs in a specific patient cohort.
Methods: This retrospective case series study included 32 patients (38 eyes) diagnosed with CM at the Department of Ophthalmology, Peking University People's Hospital, between 2009 and 2022. The cohort included 10 male patients (10 eyes) and 22 female patients (28 eyes), with a mean age of 52.

Diffuse intimal thickening (DIT) is a pre-clinical stage of atherosclerosis characterized by thickened intima. The molecular basis of its susceptibility to atherogenesis is unknown, and mechanistic investigations cannot be performed in commonly used mouse models, in which DIT does not exist. Vascular smooth muscle cells (SMCs) are the predominant cell type that occupies the intima and media of DIT.

Purpose: This study aimed to select robust features against lung motion in a phantom study and use them as input to feature selection algorithms and machine learning classifiers in a clinical study to predict the lymphovascular invasion (LVI) of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The results of robust features were also compared with conventional techniques without considering the robustness of radiomic features.
Methods: An in-house developed lung phantom was developed with two 22mm lesion sizes based on a clinical study.

Background: Early and accurate identification of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation status in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with brain metastases is critical for guiding targeted therapy. This study aimed to develop a deep learning radiomics model utilizing multi-sequence magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to differentiate between EGFR mutant type (MT) and wild type (WT).
Methods: In this retrospective study, 288 NSCLC patients with confirmed brain metastases were enrolled, including 106 with EGFR MT and 182 with EGFR WT.

Background: Erdheim-Chester disease (ECD), a rare type of non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis, was classified as a haematopoietic tumour by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2016. It involves multiple systems and is challenging to diagnose due to its broad spectrum of clinical manifestations. The pulmonary manifestations of ECD lack specificity.
