Background: Polydatin (PD), also known as tiger cane glycoside, is a natural compound extracted from the Japanese knotweed plant, which is often referred to as white resveratrol. It exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-apoptotic effects in the treatment of various diseases. However, the potential molecular mechanisms of PD in osteoarthritis have not been clearly elucidated.

Doping in pure materials causes vital alterations in opto-electrical and physicochemical characteristics, which enable the produced doped material to be highly efficient and effective. The current work focused on the synthesis of C/N-co-doped-ZnO nanorods a facile, eco-friendly, and solvent-free mechano-thermal approach. The synthesized C/N-co-doped ZnO nanorods were employed for the photocatalytic decay of methylene blue (MB) and brilliant cresyl blue (BCB) dyes, and their degradation capability was compared with that of pure ZnO nanoparticles prepared a precipitation approach.

Quantum Dot Luminescence Microspheres Enable Ultra-Efficient and Bright Micro-LEDs.

Adv Mater

January 2025

Fujian Key Laboratory of Surface and Interface Engineering for High Performance Materials, College of Materials, Xiamen University, Xiamen, 361005, P. R. China.

Quantum dot (QD)-converted micrometer-scale light-emitting diodes (micro-LEDs) are regarded as an effective solution for achieving high-performance full-color micro-LED displays because of their narrow-band emission, simplified mass transfer, facile drive circuits, and low cost. However, these micro-LEDs suffer from significant blue light leakage and unsatisfactory electroluminescence properties due to the poor light conversion efficiency and stability of the QDs. Herein, the construction of green and red QD luminescence microspheres with the simultaneously high conversion efficiency of blue light and strong photoluminescence stability are proposed.

High-Efficiency, Long-Lifetime and Color-Tunable Hybrid WOLEDs Using a Platinum Complex with Voltage-Dependent Monomer and Aggregate Emission.

Adv Sci (Weinh)

January 2025

State Key Laboratory of Synthetic Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, HKU-CAS Joint Laboratory on New Materials, The University of Hong Kong, Pokfulam Road, Hong Kong SAR, 999077, P. R. China.

Color-tunable white organic light-emitting diodes (CT-WOLEDs) have attracted widespread attention given their large color variation to meet the different daily scenarios from the perspective of circadian rhythm. However, most reported CT-WOLEDs, especially the tri-color devices, exhibit poor performances and sophisticated structures. Here, a simple structure tri-color CT-WOLED is demonstrated that simultaneously exhibits high efficiency, ultralong operation lifetime, and wide color-tunable range for dynamic sunlight emulation.
