Background: Epilepsy is one of the most common serious neurological disorders and affects individuals of all ages across the globe. The aim of this study is to provide estimates of the epilepsy burden on the global, regional, and national levels for 1990-2021.

Methods: Using well established Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD) methodology, we quantified the prevalence of active idiopathic (epilepsy of genetic or unknown origin) and secondary epilepsy (epilepsy due to an underlying abnormality of the brain structure or chemistry), as well as incidence, death, and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) by age, sex, and location (globally, 21 GBD regions and seven super-regions, World Bank country income levels, Socio-demographic Index [SDI], and 204 countries) and their trends from 1990 to 2021.

Purpose Of Review: This study aims to systematically review the trajectory of artificial intelligence (AI) development in the medical field, with a particular emphasis on ChatGPT, a cutting-edge tool that is transforming oncology's diagnosis and treatment practices.

Recent Findings: Recent advancements have demonstrated that ChatGPT can be effectively utilized in various areas, including collecting medical histories, conducting radiological & pathological diagnoses, generating electronic medical record (EMR), providing nutritional support, participating in Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and formulating personalized, multidisciplinary treatment plans. However, some significant challenges related to data privacy and legal issues that need to be addressed for the safe and effective integration of ChatGPT into clinical practice.

Objective: National guidelines recommend diagnosis of obesity on the basis of body mass index starting at age 2 years and screening for specific comorbidities based on age and risk factors. A multimodal intervention was developed and quality improvement (QI) methodology was used to assess the effectiveness of different interventions on pediatric primary care clinician's adherence to evidence-based clinical guidelines.

Study Design: A multidisciplinary team was engaged to develop an institutional weight management and diet-related disease toolkit to standardize practice through a QI initiative.

Introduction: Invasive Escherichia coli disease (IED) incidence has increased over recent years among aging populations and has rising antimicrobial resistance. Here, we report on a comparative, cross-sectional, retrospective analysis of US patients with IED to quantify IED-related healthcare resource utilization (HCRU), costs, and impact on health-related quality of life (HRQoL).

Methods: This study included Kaiser Permanente Northwest (KPNW) members aged ≥ 60 years enrolled between July 2019 and January 2020.
