The interaction of BSA and NIC was investigated by absorption spectra, fluorescence spectroscopy and synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy. In the system of sodium phosphate dibasic-citric acid of 0.1 mol(-1) x L(-1), fluorescence titration showed that the fluorescence intensity of BSA at 342 nm was quenched when NIC was added, NIC was capable of binding with BSA to form a 1:1 complex and the quenching mechanism of BSA affected by NIC was shown to be a static quenching procedure by calculating the binding number n and binding constant K. NIC decreased the intensity of the characteristic absorption peak of BSA, showing that the binding of NIC to BSA had strong impact on protein conformation with the decrease in a-helical content of the protein. Synchronous fluorescence indicated that the binding of NIC to BSA is near tryptophan subunit.

We investigated the and uses of pamoic acid functionalized gold nanoparticles (PA@AuNPs), with a focus on determining their safety and potential toxicity in living beings. To test this theory, the bacterial interaction of PA@AuNPs was studied using , , and cultures, as well as the inhibition of the bovine serum albumin (BSA) protein. The real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) is used to measure the expression of target genes.

This work reports the synthesis of a copper metal complex with the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) ibuprofen, and 2,2'-dipyridylamine employing microwave-assisted synthesis (MWAS). To the best of authors knowledge, this is the first study reporting a NSAID-based complex achieved through MWAS. The coordination compound was characterised by elemental analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, and ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry.

Cyclic peptides are often used as scaffolds for the multivalent presentation of drug molecules due to their structural stability and constrained conformation. We identified a cyclic deca-peptide incorporating lipoamino acids for delivering T helper and B cell epitopes against group A Streptococcus (GAS), eliciting robust humoral immune responses. In this study, we assessed the function-immunogenicity relationship of the multi-component vaccine candidate (referred to as VC-13) to elucidate a mechanism of action.

Microfluidic chips are powerful tools for investigating numerous variables including chemical and physical parameters on protein aggregation. This study investigated the aggregation of bovine serum albumin (BSA) in two different systems: a vial-based static system and a microfluidic chip-based dynamic system in which BSA aggregation was induced successfully. BSA aggregation induced in a microfluidic chip on a timescale of seconds enabled a dynamic investigation of the forces driving the aggregation process.
