The correlation time and S order parameter are two important parameters to characterize the moving and distribution of the spin labeled macromolecule. It is significant to determine them simultaneously by lineshape analysis with an appropriate physics model for EPR spectrum analysis. In the present paper, the microscopic ordering and macroscopic disorder model (MOMD) was adopted to simulate the X-band EPR spectra of spin label with axial symmetric magnetic tensors. The experimental parameters were measured, and the divergence between the real values and the empirical values was analyzed. For MOMD spectra the authors proposed a criteria to select the experimental parameters. With the selected parameters, the correlation time and the internal S order parameter could be obtained simultaneously. And the valid range determined by the recognition function is presented.

Varroa species, commonly known as the honey bee mites, poses a significant challenge to the worldwide beekeeping industry. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of haplotype variation on morphology of Varroa destructor. Forty-one apiaries across Bingol province (Türkiye) and its districts were visited using random sampling to examine 2440 honey bee colonies.
The crystallographic restriction theorem constrains two-dimensional nematicity to display either Ising (Z_{2}) or three-state-Potts (Z_{3}) critical behaviors, both of which are dominated by amplitude fluctuations. Here, we use group theory and microscopic modeling to show that this constraint is circumvented in a 30°-twisted hexagonal bilayer due to its emergent quasicrystalline symmetries. We find a critical phase dominated by phase fluctuations of a Z_{6} nematic order parameter and bounded by two Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless (BKT) transitions, which displays only quasi-long-range nematic order.

pH-sensitive lipids are important components of lipid nanoparticles, which enable the targeted delivery and controlled release of drugs. Understanding the mechanism of pH-triggered drug release at the molecular level is important for the rational design of ionizable lipids. Based on a recently reported pH-switchable lipid, named SL2, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were employed to explore the microscopic mechanism behind the membrane destabilization induced by the conformational change of pH-switchable lipids.
Waxes comprise a diverse set of materials from lubricants and coatings to biological materials such as the intracuticular wax layers on plant leaves that restrict water loss to inhibit dehydration. Despite the often mixed hydrocarbon chain lengths and functional groups within waxes, they show a propensity for ordering into crystalline phases, albeit with a wealth of solid solution behavior and disorder modes that determine chemical transport and mechanical properties. Here, we reveal the microscopic structure and heterogeneity of replica leaf wax models based on the dominant wax types in the plant, namely CH and CHOH and their binary mixtures.
