This study describes, using concept mapping, the nature, organization of knowledge on nutrition and its evolution following therapeutic patient education program in 5 diabetic children (8 to 9 years old) and their mothers. Before the education session, mothers and children are highly knowledgeable about food. The organization of knowledge in children is conceptual and differs from that found in mothers which is based on problems solving. After education, new knowledge and new links between old and recent knowledge testify of learning. A comparison between the maps of children and their mother reveals similarities but also differences in their preoccupations. This research shows that using the preexisting knowledge networks of parents and children could contribute to improve their education on nutrition.

This scoping review explores the concepts of integrated healthcare, interprofessional collaboration, and healthcare funding within the context of primary and allied healthcare. A systematic database, internet, and manual search of included article reference lists sought published and gray literature. From an initial 8,122 papers, a total of 63 met the inclusion criteria and were assessed using a three-stage narrative synthesis that sought to meaningfully account for the complexity and heterogeneity of the included papers: (1) Preliminary analysis involved data extraction and mapping of key themes, including article, integration, collaboration, and funding characteristics; (2) Robustness evaluation involved critically appraising the methodological quality of the literature using the Crowe Critical Appraisal Tool, and the Johns Hopkins Nursing Evidence-based Practice Research Evidence Appraisal Tool, and Non-Research Evidence Appraisal Tool; and (3) Relationship exploration found that most primary and allied healthcare services still operate under fee-for-service funding arrangements that discourage the delivery of integrated collaborative, coordinated, and complex care, instead encouraging traditional siloed and hierarchical approaches that are linked to workload, remuneration, and job satisfaction inequalities between primary and allied healthcare professions.

This paper explores the concept of contractive mappings, contributing to the advancement of self-map extensions and fixed-point theorems within b-metric spaces. We introduce a new class of contractive mappings and demonstrate how they extend traditional contraction principles, offering a broader framework for analyzing fixed points in non-standard spaces. The main result of this study is a generalization of existing fixed-point theorems, supported by comprehensive corollaries, illustrative examples, and rigorous proofs.

The -metric space happens to be one of the of most significant and non-trivial generalizations of metric spaces. In this paper, we introduce the concepts of Kannan type and Ćirić-Reich-Rus type cyclic contractions in -metric spaces via interpolation. Existence and uniqueness of fixed points of these two newly introduced contraction mappings have been studied and validated with suitable examples.
