The rapid growth, invasiveness, and resistance to treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) underscore the urgent need for improved diagnostics and therapies. Current surgical practice is limited by challenges with intraoperative imaging, while recurrence monitoring requires expensive magnetic resonance or nuclear imaging scans. Here we introduce 'acoustic tumor paint', an approach to labeling brain tumors for ultrasound imaging, a widely accessible imaging modality.

Proanthocyanidins (PAs) are the second most abundant plant phenolic natural products. The proton membrane H-ATPase (AHA) is required for PA transportation in vacuoles, but it remains unclear which AHA gene(s) encode tonoplast proton pump in M. truncatula.

Immunometabolism is critical in the regulation of immunity and inflammation; however, the mechanism of preventing aberrant activation-induced immunopathology remains largely unclear. Here, we report that glyoxalase II (GLO2) in the glycolysis branching pathway is specifically downregulated by NF-κB signaling during innate immune activation via tristetraprolin (TTP)-mediated mRNA decay. As a result, its substrate S-D-lactoylglutathione (SLG) accumulates in the cytosol and directly induces D-lactyllysine modification of proteins.

The balance between CD8 T cells and regulatory T (Treg) cells in the tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a crucial role in the immune checkpoint inhibition (ICI) therapy in gastric carcinoma (GC). However, related factors leading to the disturbance of TME and resistance to ICI therapy remain unknown. In this study, we applied N6-methyladenosine (m6A) small RNA Epitranscriptomic Microarray and screened out 3'tRF-AlaAGC based on its highest differential expression level and lowest inter-group variance.

Delivering protein drugs to the central nervous system (CNS) is challenging due to the blood-brain and blood-spinal cord barrier. Here we show that neutrophils, which naturally migrate through these barriers to inflamed CNS sites and release neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), can be leveraged for therapeutic delivery. Tannic acid nanoparticles tethered with anti-Ly6G antibody and interferon-β (aLy6G-IFNβ@TLP) are constructed for targeted neutrophil delivery.
