An interesting eight-connected self-catenated metal-organic framework, based on bimetallic {Cu4V4O12} clusters as nodes, defines a new self-catenated topology for eight-connected networks and represents the first self-catenated framework using heterometallic clusters as nodes.

Background: The breakthrough discovery of novel biomarkers with prognostic and diagnostic value enables timely medical intervention for the survival of patients diagnosed with gastric cancer (GC). Typically, in studies focused on biomarker analysis, highly connected nodes (hubs) within the protein-protein interaction network (PPIN) are proposed as potential biomarkers. However, this study revealed an unexpected finding following the clustering of network nodes.

Fracture toughness is a critical indicator for the application of NiTi alloys in medical fields. We propose to enhance the fracture toughness of NiTi alloys by controlling the spatial grain size (GS) gradient. Utilizing rolling processes and heat treatment technology, three categories of NiTi alloys with distinct spatial GS distributions were fabricated and subsequently examined through multi-field synchronous fracture tests.

Currently, the rapid development of social media enables people to communicate more and more frequently in the network. Classifying user activities in social networks helps to better understand user behavior in social networks. This paper first creates an ego network for each user, encodes the higher-order topological features of the ego network as persistence diagrams using persistence homology, and computes the persistence entropy.

Despite known gender/sex differences in the prevalence of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), potential differences in the associations among PTSD symptoms between men and women in the early post-trauma period are not well-characterized. This study utilized network analysis to assess potential differences in the associations among PTSD symptom clusters between men and women during the early post-trauma period. We included = 475 participants (57.

Lower back pain comprises the majority of the disease burden of patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS), while the alterations of the large-scale brain networks could be implicated in the neuropathophysiology of pain. The frontoparietal network (FPN) is known as a pain modulation hub, with key nodes dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC) and ventrolateral prefrontal cortex (vlPFC) participating in the pain modulation and reappraisal process. In this study, we adopted the analytical approaches of independent component analysis (ICA) and seed-based correlation analysis (SCA) to examine the resting-state functional connectivity (rsFC) of the large-scale brain networks, notably FPN, between 82 AS patients and 61 healthy controls (HCs).
