Background: The current study aimed to test symptom-level associations underlying the concordance of depressive symptoms in father-mother-child triads. We used network analysis to examine central and bridge symptoms in the contemporaneous depressive network of triads and additionally assessed prospective relationships in temporal depressive networks.
Methods: We included 881 father-mother-child triads with children aged 10 to 14 years from the China Family Panel Studies.

Background: Trace amounts of consumed alcohol are detectable within sweat and insensible perspiration. However, the relationship between ingested and transdermally emitted alcohol is complex, varying across environmental conditions and involving a degree of lag. As such, the feasibility of real-time drinking detection across diverse environments has been unclear.

North American bird abundance has declined by 29% over the last 50 years. These continental population dynamics interact with local landscape changes to affect local bird diversity. Mitigating local declines in cities is particularly significant because (a) such declines greatly impact human-bird relationships since most people live in cities and (b) cities provide levers to create bird-friendly habitat, such as managing yards and gardens, street trees, and urban parks.
