The effect of self-measurement of blood pressure (BP) at home (home BP measurement, HBPM) has been evaluated over the past decade. This meta-analysis included the latest studies to determine whether HBPM reduced BP (PROSPERO ID: CRD42023442225). PubMed, Cochrane Library Database, and IchuShi-Web were searched for randomized controlled trials after the year 2000 which demonstrated the effect of HBPM on BP change compared with usual care (UC).

Objective: To validate the accuracy of the G.LAB MD6300 oscillometric upper arm blood pressure monitor in the sitting, supine, and right lateral decubitus position in the general population according to the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation/European Society of Hypertension/International Organization for Standardization (AAMI/ESH/ISO) Universal Standard (ISO 81060-2 : 2018+AMD1 : 2020).
Methods: The qualified participants were recruited in the study and the same left-arm sequential method was used for blood pressure measurement according to the Universal Standard.

Therefore the study aimed to evaluate the measurement accuracy of the G.LAB MD41A0 oscillometric automatic upper-arm blood pressure monitor in pregnancy and pre-eclampsia women according to the AAMI/ESH/ISO Universal Standard (ISO 81060-2:2018).

Arterial hypertension is one of the most prevalent diseases in the field of geriatrics and is also a risk factor for pathologies that frequently result in hospital admissions, such as heart failure and stroke. This article addresses both pharmacological and non-pharmacological diagnosis and treatment strategies, focusing on the role of frailty as a guiding principle in determining the most appropriate course of treatment, emphasizing patient-centred prescribing. Furthermore, the article reviews other frequent topics, such as polypharmacy and orthostatic hypotension.
