During drought, the formation of air bubbles known as embolisms in the water-conducting xylem reduces hydraulic conductivity, which can ultimately result in tree death. Accurately quantifying vulnerability to embolism formation is therefore essential for understanding tree hydraulics. Acoustic emission (AE) analysis offers a non-destructive method to monitor this process, yet the interpretation of captured signals remains debated.

Transmembrane proteins (TMPs) are pivotal components of plant defence mechanisms, serving as essential mediators in the response to biotic stresses. These proteins are among the most complex and diverse within plant cells, making their study challenging. In spite of this, relatively few studies have focused on the investigation and characterization of TMPs in plants.

Background: There is a lack of evidence and continuous debate on whether femoral tunnel displacement substantially influences the clinical efficacy of medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction (MPFL-R) in addressing recurrent patellar dislocation.
Purpose: To investigate possible associations between inaccurate femoral tunnel placement during MPFL-R and clinical outcomes, with a specific focus on proximal tunnel malpositioning.
Study Design: Cohort study; Level of evidence, 3.
Respectful maternity care (RMC) is a topic that has received increasing focus among clinicians, researchers, and the public in recent years. While clinicians recognize the importance of respectful care, patients report that they are not consistently receiving it. The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) created the RMC Framework, Evidence-Based Guidelines and Implementation Toolkit to provide nursing teams with the knowledge, tools, and structures they need to promote RMC.
