Cardiac metastases are the most frequent cardiac tumors. They can cause dysrhythmia, myocardial dysfunction, pericardial effusion, and heart failure. In decreasing order, the major primary malignancies associated with cardiac metastases are pleural mesothelioma, lung adenocarcinoma, undifferentiated carcinomas, lung squamous cell carcinoma, and breast carcinoma.

Primary pericardial mesothelioma is a highly aggressive and rare neoplasm that arises from the pericardial mesothelial cell and has a poor prognosis. The diagnosis is usually established by histological and immunohistochemical studies. Malignant mesothelioma most frequently occurs from the pleura (90%), less frequently from the peritoneum and pericardium (6%-10%), and very rarely from the tunica vaginalis in the testis.

Stiff person syndrome (SPS) is a neurologic disorder, some cases of which are associated with malignant disease. Here, we report a case of thymoma-associated SPS that was successfully treated with surgical resection. A 57-year-old man with progressive muscle stiffness and weakness was diagnosed with thymoma-related SPS.

Background: Despite TSH suppressive therapy improve the prognosis for the patient with differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC), there is an increasing concern regarding the potentially harmful effects of lifelong TSH suppression. Therefore, we aimed to examine the changes in body composition under TSH suppression in postmenopausal women with DTC.
Methods: The body composition was assessed by the volumes as following; fat tissues of the epicardium and abdominal visceral and subcutaneous areas; bilateral psoas muscle or thigh muscle.
