During the last 20 years we observed 3 cases with the rare condition of desmoid fibromatosis in childhood. This benign tumor with infiltrating potential has therapeutic difficulties for the achievement of a stable local tumor control (LTC). In this paper we present our experience with the therapeutic manipulations applied to our patients and go through the relevant literature on desmoids tumors.

Hyaline fibromatosis syndrome (HFS) is a rare congenital disorder characterized by abnormal hyaline deposition within soft tissues. Hyaline fibromatosis syndrome manifests in 2 distinct forms: (1) infantile systemic hyalinosis and (2) juvenile hyaline fibromatosis. Infantile systemic hyalinosis, the more severe form, typically emerges in early childhood with extensive systemic involvement.

Nasal obstruction is a commonly reported issue in the Otorhinolaryngology Outpatient Department. In this case, an early adolescent boy with a long-standing problem of right-sided nasal obstruction since childhood sought consultation. Diagnostic nasal endoscopy revealed a deviation of the nasal septum to the left, coupled with right inferior turbinate hypertrophy, all overlying healthy mucosa.
