With the rapid advancement of proteomics, numerous scholars have investigated the intricate relationships between plasma proteins and various diseases. Therefore, this study aims to elucidate the relationship between BDH1 and type 2 diabetes using Mendelian randomization (MR) and to identify novel targets for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes through proteomics. This study primarily employed the Mendelian Randomization (MR) method, leveraging genetic data from numerous large-scale, publicly accessible genome-wide association studies (GWAS).

Introduction: Hypericin (HP), a natural photosensitizer, has demonstrated great efficacy in photodynamic therapy (PDT) for cancer treatment. In addition to the induction of apoptosis and necrosis through reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, the therapeutic mechanisms and targets of PDT-HP remain unknown.

Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is the most common histological subtype of nonsmall-cell lung cancer. Herein, a multiomics method, which combined proteomic and N-glycoproteomic analyses, was developed to analyze the normal and cancerous bronchoalveolar lavage fluids (BALFs) from six LUAD patients to identify potential biomarkers of LUAD. The data-independent acquisition proteomic analysis was first used to analyze BALFs, which identified 59 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs).
