The negative impact of repeated-mild traumatic brain injury (rmTBI) is profoundly seen in circadian-disrupted individuals. The unrelenting inflammation, glial activation, and gut dysbiosis are key neuropathological aberrations in the aftermath of rmTBI. In this study, we examined the impact of chitosan lactate (CL) on circadian disturbance (CD) + rmTBI-generated neurological dysfunctions and its prebiotic response on the gut-brain axis.

Background: Chalcones have been described in the literature as promising antineoplastic compounds.
Objectives: Therefore, the objective of this study was to analyze the cytotoxic effect of 23 synthetic chalcones on human acute leukemia (AL) cell lines (Jurkat and K562).
Methods: Cytotoxicity assessment was performed using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) method.

Introduction: Cardiogenic arterial thromboembolism (CATE) is a life-threatening complication of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) with a high mortality rate. As the primary responders in hemostasis, platelets play a crucial role in the progression of CATE. Procoagulant platelets are a subpopulation of activated platelets that facilitate thrombin generation to strengthen thrombus structure.

Background And Aims: Limited data link manufactured sweeteners impact on metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). We aimed to evaluate the effects of manufactured sugars (L-glucose) compared to natural sugars (D-glucose) on phenotype, molecular and metabolic changes in mice models fed with either regular diet (RD) or high fat diet (HFD).
Methods: C57BL/6 mice fed 16-weeks with either RD; 70% carbohydrate or HFD; 60% fat, with or without additional glucose (Glu, at 18% w/v) to drinking tap water at weeks 8-16; of either natural (D-Glu) or manufactured (L-Glu) sugars.

Background: Recently, there have been an increasing number of reports on the association between inflammatory markers and the prognosis of malignant tumors. However, the current inflammatory indicators have limited accuracy. We aimed to develop a new scoring system for predicting endometrial cancer recurrence using inflammatory markers, tumor markers, and histological diagnoses.
