Importance: Improving access to high-quality maternity care and reducing maternal morbidity and mortality are major policy priorities in the US. Previous research has primarily focused on access to general obstetric care rather than access to high-risk pregnancy care provided by maternal-fetal medicine subspecialists (MFMs).
Objective: To measure access to MFM services and determine patient factors associated with MFM service use, including MFM telemedicine.

Background: This study was done with objectives of determining the predictors of mortality in patients with Gram-Negative Bacilli (GNB) Blood stream Infection (BSI) along with estimating mortality attributable to carbapenem resistance (CR).
Methods: In this prospective cohort study (January 2023-September 2024), done in 3 tertiary care centres in India, patients found to have mono-microbial GNB BSI were included. Primary outcome was crude mortality at day 30 of onset of BSI.

Preservation and long-term storage of readily available cell-laden tissue-engineered products are major challenges in expanding their applications in healthcare. In recent years, there has been increasing interest in the development of off-the-shelf tissue-engineered products using the cryobioprinting approach. Here, bioinks are incorporated with cryoprotective agents (CPAs) to allow the fabrication of cryopreservable tissue constructs.

Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (PanNETs) have intra-tumour heterogeneity, notably regarding the Ki-67 index, which is a major prognostic factor. The temporal evolution of PanNET biology is poorly known. We aimed to study the prognostic impact of the temporal evolution of Ki-67 and other molecular markers (MEN1, ATRX/DAXX, PDX1/ARX) in PanNETs.

Objective: Hypercalcemia is often considered as an emergency because of a potential risk life-threatening arrhythmias or coma. However, there is little evidence, apart from case studies, that hypercalcemia can be immediately life-threatening. The aim of our study was to assess prospectively, if hypercalcemia (Ca ≥ 3 mmol/L) was associated with immediately life-threatening complications.
