Current literature review is scarce, with a primary focus on iatrogenic, surgical, and vascular etiologies. Objectives: To identify factors contributing to delays in in the initiation of treatment among ST elevation myocardial infarction patients.
Methods: The prospective cohort study was conducted at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease, Karachi, from December 2020 to June 2021, and comprised ST elevation myocardial infarction patients of either gender aged at least 18 years. Time delay categories were 1st and 2nd delays that were patient-related, and 3rd delay that was system-related), with thresholds of ≤90 minutes and ≤120 minutes.

Background: Locally advanced pancreatic adenocarcinomas (LA-PDAC) are more frequently operated now than in the past because of new regimen chemotherapy and improvement in surgical technique. Resection of the coeliac trunk (CT) during pancreatoduodenectomy (PD) or total pancreatectomy (TP) is not routinely done owing to the risk of liver and gastric ischaemia. In this video, a patient with LA-PDAC underwent TP with CT resection and retrograde gastric revascularization through the distal splenic artery.

Higher levels of circulating arachidonic acid (AA) are reportedly associated with lower risk of cardiovascular disease. The cyclooxygenase (COX) pathway metabolizes AA into prostaglandins (PGs) and the platelet-activating thromboxane A2 (TXA2), which is inhibited by aspirin.
